In 1988, in the suburbs of Scarborough, the rock band The Bare Naked Ladies was born. This band developed a following in Canada, and one of those dedicated followers was a lady whose wish was to be in the crowd welcoming them to the stage one last time. This bands self titled 1991 cassette became the first independent release to be certified gold in Canada.
