Lisa Wright
Co-Founder, RN, and Program and Development Director
Lisa Wright is a Registered Nurse and Co-Founder of the Living Wish Foundation.
Lisa was born and raised in Mississauga, growing up with a family cottage in Blue Mountain. Some of her happiest memories originate from spending time together with family at the cottage. Lisa originally started her career in business, but she was inspired by the outstanding and compassionate nursing care provided to her grandmother during the final months, days, and moments of her life leading her into a career in health care.
Lisa pursued a career in nursing, obtaining her BScN and certification for Hospice Palliative Care Nursing (CHPCN) in Simcoe County. Her career in palliative care was inspired by the strength and spirit of a close friend who married the love of her life shortly before her death and her courageous grandmother who added many years to her life by looking forward to special family moments.
Throughout Lisa’s career as a community Visiting Nurse, Staff Nurse with Hospice Georgian Triangle and at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, a Care Coordinator with Home and Community Care Services, Clinical Resource Coordinator at Hospice Georgian Triangle. and a member of the Palliative Shared Care team, Lisa has continued to be inspired by each patient who cherished every moment of life, including their final days, with hope.
